Aleksandra Lacka, The Founder

Aleksandra is an internationally recognized consumer insights expert and business strategist.

With over twelve years of experience holding various consumer insights roles across brands, industries and geographies, she has developed a true passion for a consumer-centric business approach. In her most recent role at Publicis Groupe, Aleksandra worked closely with luxury brands providing market intelligence to the agency’s luxury clients.

Inspired by the possibilities she saw in the luxury market, in 2016 Aleksandra began her own consulting practice working internationally with entrepreneurs to help them launch their own premium brands and services. Through entrepreneurs, she got exposed to new rapidly accelerating industries, like for example Space, which opened her eyes to even more possibilities.

Insights Atelier is a product of the evolution of Aleksandra’s work in understanding luxury markets and in looking at those markets in a broader context of ever accelerating technological innovation. Insights Atelier’s focus is on helping high-end brands concentrate on the high-touch human side of luxury, initiate new conversations and engage with their audiences in new ways.

Aleksandra serves on board of directors of Downtown Magazine, an international luxury publication focused primarily on Lower Manhattan. She is also an active member of Luxury Marketing Council and International Advertising Association. In 2016 she was named the Iconic Woman Leader in Women’s Empowerment at the Women’s Economic Forum in New Delhi, India and in 2015 she received a prestigious Young Leader Inspire Award from the International Advertising Association in London, UK for her contributions to the marketing communications industry worldwide. Aleksandra received her Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University. She is a global traveler and a natural networker.

Harumi Urata-Thompson, Consultant

Harumi specializes in blockchain, artificial intelligence and space industry. In addition to starting her own entrepreneurial venture, Harumi consults to and serves on board of directors of several companies.

Harumi built her career in the area of finance and innovation. Prior to becoming a consultant, Harumi was the Chief Operating Officer for CFA Society New York and prior to that she spent 14 years at Thomson Reuters where she oversaw innovation and managed a portfolio of mobile products across divisions and served as Chief of Staff to the CEO of the Healthcare and Science business. Harumi began her career in investment banking with Morgan Stanley and Citigroup, working in fixed income sales and mergers & acquisitions.

At Insights Atelier Harumi plays a key role in helping us understand and bridge the gap between our luxury expertise and the knowledge of new industries like FinTech, MedTech and Space. She is a frequent speaker and expert contributor at industry events and conferences internationally.

Harumi has an MBA from INSEAD in France and a BA, magna cum laude, in business from Sophia University in Japan. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst, Project Management Professional certified, an Advanced Communicator and Leader of Toastmasters, and bilingual in English and Japanese.  Harumi has traveled extensively, plays piano, keenly follows performing arts, and speaks at numerous events.

Elaine Tan, Consultant

Elaine has over a decade of experience in the media industry focused on integrating brand strategy, cultural consumer trends and analytics. Her expertise is in leveraging data to find insights that provoke strategic direction for client businesses.

At Insights Atelier Elaine works closely with our team and clients to help us develop positioning and go-to-market strategy for client initiatives and engagement programs we design. Elaine is also instrumental in helping us develop and measure KPIs for each of those initiatives.

Elaine’s professional experience includes roles with innovation-driven, user-experience oriented digital houses including Distillery, AKQA and Media Assembly. She also held strategy roles at Hearst Magazines and with media and digital agencies like 360i, MediaCom, MediaEdge and Publicis Groupe.

With a foothold in New York City, Amsterdam and Kuala Lumpur markets, Elaine provides a well-rounded global perspective and connection to our team and clients.

Stephanie Quinn, Project Manager

Having managed numerous multi-million-dollar complex government projects involving high level stakeholders, Stephanie now leverages her project management expertise to help her clients launch and execute successful projects. She founded her own project management consulting venture: Project Luxe Consulting.

After over a decade supporting the U.S. Government, Stephanie perfected the art of getting things done, even in a completely chaotic environment, and making a lot of nothing into a lot of something! From risk management, to staying on budget and delivering on time, these are the things that she manages daily.

Stephanie manages internal organization at Insights Ateler as well as some most of our client projects – from very initial project planning to final execution and delivery. She takes care of all the details and ensures that things are done right, on time and on budget. Stephanie believes that nothing should be left to chance and that’s why she strives to capture and address every detail before it could impact a project.
